From the name of the location you can understand that it is the valley for pigeons. Or I should say the valley was the kingdom of pigeons once upon a time! If you can enlarge the picture, you can see the numerous manmade dovecotes (pigeon's houses) carved in the soft volcanic tuff! But these days this place is more ventured by the tourists than pigeons. We saw only few pigeons in the valley though, but the number is not satisfactory. Nonetheless the place was beautiful! If you have time in hands, then spend half a day walking through the trails of the valley and explore all those tiny little pigeon houses in the valley! 💙🕊💙
